That interior looked like it was in pretty good shape along with the glass as well. Do you have more pics?

As for Raider Country, it is still here and you are welcome back any time.

Update

Post by JDMwhiteboy »

So I pull the 7rib red top apart to get things all cleaned up, the motor had been sitting for more than a year. I pull the head and the cylinder walls are coated in rust, I thought that would explain why i couldn't get the crank to spin. No biggie I thought, I am pulling the block apart to clean anyways. Well I as I pull the oil pan off, two nuts fall to the floor, dont let that be what i think they are. I take off the oil pump pick up off and the oil pan ballast. My heart sank at what I saw. The nuts were from the #2 rod cap, the cap had fallen off and then wedged itself between the block and the crank. Only way to get it to move was to pull the crank off, so i did that today and got a better look at the damage. Not as bad as I first thought, but still its damage i will have to deal with. Have to get new rods, machine the block, and balance the crank. There is a shop in Lewisville that I will take the block too, they did the head on my 240 and i was very impressed with their workmanship. Plus, they do everything in-house and I really like that.

If ya want a road trip there is a AE92 with 4age in junk yard here I seen yesterday. At least your engine is fixable. Last one I had that the rod bolts broke shot the rod out the side of the block.

Ok major update. I am abandoning the GTS project, main reason is funding. Being a poor college student I just cant fund two corollas. I am already replacing a lot of suspension parts on the SR5, its my DD so of course it gets priority, and I cant logically talk myself into spending the money twice and replacing the same parts twice. So I am going to continue on my 16v 4A-GC and put it in the SR5 and sell whats left of the GTS to help fund it plus pay bills and loans lol. (keep an eye out for a FS thread) However in the mean time out of boredom and spare parts lying around my buddies garage I did this.
