That chassis RWD would still be an AE86 in my book.

I think the front end would need to be heavily modified to get it to handle right. It would make for a hell of a sleeper/drag car though

It most likely has a lot to do with the lower control arm design on the chassis. Very similar to the Aristos.

yea, a lot of it's design is tied in with the transmission too. Once you deleted the fwd trans, you're basically left with only lower control arms and struts. Compare that the the front end on my 86 or sc300 and it looks like a lot of pieces are missing.
