McKenney... and as soon as I swap either the exhaust cam or the shims(got a little clatter from too much gap between cam and shims)

ask and you shall receive. this is a cold start been sitting 2 days. my inspection is expired and I'm waiting to get front tires tomorrow so I can get it inspected then I'll drive it and tune it accordingly. right now she's running 24 degrees initial timing and seems like she wants more. I know some of that is because the exhaust cam has the wrong shims. btw the bigport shims are .114" and the smallport is .120". took a feeler gauge to see the gap and I have exactly .006" so swapping shims tomorrow after work and resetting timing and all that jazz...

and yes I have a check engine light on, I'm still running the auto mr2 ecu is why.

so I swapped the exhaust cam to a brand new bluetop one. car runs awesome, hits the rev limiter still pulling and screaming for more. has a lope at idle that sounds interesting too. And managed to find the sweet spot in the timing at 20 degrees initial. Thats the update for now. New project coming soon.

just spent 2 hours reading 1uz wiring schematics... ugh. but I did find alot of useful info and ideas for simplifying things a bit. talked to Joshiroku about some thoughts I had, and still undecided whether or not I'm going to dive into that realm of headache. more updates to come tomorrow!

so the grey car is sold. I'm keeping the Levin front end and suspension and jdm rear bumper. Funny thing is I'm returning it all to stock pretty much. USDM bumpers and popups again. I'll post pics of the new build soon in a separate build thread. gonna miss theis one. I've had her 3 years but moving on to bigger(motor) and better(body) things. Stay tuned.

It hurts to see it go but I'm glad it went to a good friend. He's actually driving up here right now to pick her up.

She's now running the stock lsd again and sporting some Megan lowering springs I got from Ga-goosh and some unknown shocks... Handles nice and the bastard motor loves the 4.30s!
