I agree with that totally, but I've seen this before with other engines and making stupid power against all proper mathematical equations.

ya... on paper it looks like it will work... and it doesnt and vise versa. Looks like it WONT work on paper, and someone just tries it and it works 400 times better than ever anticipated.

No need it's ready. At least as ready as it can be without the intake and distributor that are still in my car...

It's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crank pulley from NST has the timing mark in the wrong place, so there was a nice fiasco there. Once I figured that out, I got the cams and timing belt lined up. Pulled the motor out of my car and then swapped in the Bastard motor. It runs but the timing is still off and sounds like a Subaru... But oil pressure is above half on the gauge even after it's warmed up and been driven and the temp holds perfectly at 170(p.s. I have a 170 degree thermostat). But it lopes pretty good at idle. I'm using a Bluetop intake cam and a Redtop exhaust cam, mainly because I realized I grabbed the Redtop one and already had it covered in assembly lube and torqued down, after I had it coated in assembly lube and had it torqued down. We'll see how she runs once I get the ignition timing right.

I hate playing with timing, cams readjusted, distributor readjusted like 6 times, get timing where it's supposed to be runs like @$$... play with it more, does the same. I'm done for tonight. Tomorrow after work, start from scratch with tdc and realigning timing belt and stabbing distributor again. I'm good at it now though!

Pull the timing cover off and line up the timing belt gear mark to the "pimple" on the oil pump body and then check your timing marks at the cam gears (of course after tightening the tensioner).
