What Wires can be removed? (Megasquirt with custom harness)

Post by c4ptiv3 »

Just wondering if anyone knows what, if any of the pins in the ECU can be omitted completely when building a custom wiring harness for the engine only? About to tackle a custom wiretucked setup and want to eliminate everything that I can and relocate things like the coil and fuse box. Any help, as always is greatly appreciated.

Here's a picture of the ECU pinout for reference.

Here's a hint: since this is related specifically to the engine harness to ecu, YOU get to determine what sensors will be used or not. If you're tackling a custom wiring project then you should familiarize yourself with where each pin out goes and what it does. Time to hit the books. :)

Yeah I ended up finding some good info from Megasquirt. I'll post with updates in my build up thread.

Thanks Doc!
