wizzurp if we find you a 7.5 celica supra diff they are stronger and came stock with 3.90 gears...just fyi I have a friend that cut my mounts off and welded them to the 7.5 we even made a jig (I think he still has it) if thats the route you want to go.

They never seem to pop up, I wish I had the funds to just pick one up off eBay or something. I think that would make me a lot less nervous to beat on my car though.

I read this from WEIR performance about the RPM difference http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=803
WEIR performance wrote:RPM at 70 MPH, 195/60/14 tire

Ok, I get asked ALL the time by people if the 4.778 gears will really increase their RPM on the freeway by 2000 RPM's. The answer is NO. Here's a little comparison of the 4.778 vs. 4.30 at 70 mph with 195/60/14 tires:

4.30 RPM at 70 MPH = 3751
4.778 RPM at 70 MPH = 4169
an increase of 418 RPM at the same MPH. The performance gain is well worth the small RPM increase and is one of the cheapest ways to get more performance from your AE86!
