the only american cars consistently in FD (soon to be D1 japan) are the viper (takes its queues from the original cobra & other european models), GTO (holden monaro, again non US inspired), solstice/sky and the Ford Mustang (still sporting its all american design). the charger tried but...falken tried with a 67-68 camaro: just not competitive. shallow angle? you bet. corvettes have tried. no podium. chevy may eventually come out with a model comparable to the mustang, gto, sylvia, z, toyota saloons, 86, etc...
again, it rocks. even D1 japan champions (namely daigo saito) are actively in the works for running the stang in the 2010 d1 japan series. kumakubo (who purportedly hates hachirokus) gives the mustang his stamp of approval. as much as i've recognized hubinette and millen's podiums in FD i give credence to gitten's in his stang as well. every time a chevy has tried to compete in any drift events, they just don't deliver. it's not the drivers. all the best FD & D1 drivers opt for other makes over chevy. even at a local and regional level, instead of going full chevy, the engine is the only thing worth using but even still, LS powered chassis don't rule the roost.
i don't see the point in knocking down ford or gm. both have delivered to my satisfaction.
this stang rocks.
umm gm is gm

pontaic chevy holden or whatever
