selling before i get there...

Post by Manifesto »

I'm not okay when I see an ad online, talk with the person, agree a day and time for me to go over, and then when I call to say I'm on my way.... this mofook sold it to someone else...

That shit is the hardest of hard ghey.
I'm not destined to be happy

yea it sucks but also think about how many ppl say there going to come and pay but then flake out. It gets pretty bad when your the seller and 20 ppl say they want an item and are coming but never show.

I can understand a backup plan... having another buyer in line is cool as a seller. But it takes some doing to whip X thousands of dollars out of your ass. and after all of that doing to be denied like that is a mother. happened to me 2x in the last month. swear to god, i never had this grief getting mr2 parts.

The best policy that should be used is this:

Buyer: I'm interested and want to come buy it today.
Seller: Okay, If you're not here by (insert date and time) then I'm selling it to the next person that shows up the very next minute after you were suppose to be here.
Buyer: Okay, I'll be there at that exact time.

Running Late?
Buyer: Hey, I'm running late man I'll be there about 30 minutes late.
Seller: Okay I'll wait 'til then but if you're not here by that time then it's going to the next person that shows up.

OR

Seller: We already agreed that if you weren't here by so & so time it goes to the next guy that shows up the minute after you were suppose to be here.

Done and done.

Outside of that, then you're dealing with no integrity.

It's the honor system. If either parties involved don't honor their side of the agreement than you know they're not a person with integrity and just out for themselves. If neither parties involved hold up their end then neither have any room to complain and so on and so forth.

"Once bitten, twice shy."

Maybe we'll employ a section where people can submit feedback on buyers and sellers to help members of this community.

Its simple guys...give the initial person the right of first refusal. Let them know before they drive 4 hours to another city...Happened to me way more times then I would like to count.

When I got my gts I was real lucky with my seller, I called him like an hour after he made the cl post on sat night then drove out to stephenville sunday morning just to look at it. A real cool guy and he knew how long i just drove he held the car for me till that next weekend when I could get a truck down there. Reminds me I need to chat him up soon.
I like cars, food, and puppies.
