Coupe rear window removal

Post by milchmann »

Does anyone have any good tips on how to remove the rear window without completely destroying the weather stripping?

Take the window and gasket out together. Fold inner lip over and push it out. Do this from the inside, slowly go around whole window. Start at top, also do sides, then pull it up from outside the car so you dont have to mess with the lower side of the gasket near the tops of the seats.

Thanks guys, I got it out!

I did exactly as you suggested Morgan, except I had to use a door panel tool to push the seal up over that lip. It was just blunt enough not to fuxor the seal, and narrow enough to push between the glass and the lip.
