HAY ! I've got a few questions for ya, I would really appreciate anyone's input if ya could.
This is for those who drift. Thanks.
1.) What is you GVW, that you are currently at.
2.) What spring rate are you running, front/rear.
3.) If your useing coilovers, what damp setting are you at, front/rear.
4.) What chasis. bracing have you done.
After all that, how does your set up feel. Neutral/hard/mushy.
I know it's alot to ask, but I would really appreciate anyone's input.
Thanks.

2. 450f/350r
3. fronts: past midway /rear: midway
4. just front strut tower, adj. f/r sways, front bomber bar, rear trunk bomber bar (had a floor bar but removed it because it sucked). urethane bushings & solid bushings, cusco eng/trans mounts
very sporty feel. steering geometry, manual vs. power, tires & size, caster and toe will also contribute to the whole.
i've learned the hard way recently that you have to settle on a good tire size and compound for consistent feel and control.
my car's pretty lite inspite of the fact that it still has full interior.

i slapped an adj lat bar on mine and it made a big diff. i put the adj 4 link and it made even more a diff. i get under steer due to not have rca's. its pretty loud inside due to the ball joints on the rear and a gutted rear seat. but not as loud as it could be.

for springs, consider SWIFT springs being that they are well known for their linear performance. you what a spring with linear response so on compression & rebound it maintains true-er to its rating and provides consistent predicatable performance especially at the apex-es.
they're on my list of things to upgrade to (of course after i re-imburse CBR for the bearings first.)

1. My car weighed 2178 with a half tank of gas and the whole interior minus the backseat I dont know what it is at now that I gutted everything and put the cage in
2. Im running 8k in the front and 6.6 in the back
3. The greddy units are what im using I have them set all the way stiff in the rear and a little softer in the front
4. Rollcage, stitch welded everything, front strut bar
I would say this setup is really hard whenm the setting are hard. If you set the sturts on the softest settings its not very bad. I tend to like the way it drifts when its set stiffer but thats just my prefrence

yea i am running the "gt" rear spring which is a tad stiffer than the other espelir
they came on the donor 86 i bought. i don't like them because they are too soft and will eventually go the agx/swift route with either 6 or 7kg rear spring
then get swift 8 or 9 kg front coilover springs

My car is pretty light, under 1800lbs even with the 8 point cage and door bars, 4agte and i/c crap. Its race only and I actually run pretty soft.
350lb front
250lb rear
no rear bar
4 way white front, usually set soft or unhooked completely depending on grip levels
rear converted to equal lenght 3 link with heim set-up
front 40mm rca's with inner pivot raised a further 1.5"
heim jointed tie rod with 1.5" spacer to correct bump steer
40mm front cut strut with hts all around-likely going to koni race over the winter
The set-up is very neutral and can do grip or drift with only a couple small changes.

I think the HTS are a fine performance damper, typical japanese suspension tuning though and they are valved way to stiff in compression.Wouldn't be any problem is they could be adjusted seperately but rebound and compression is adjusted simutanously.
For me I need to take the dampers to the same level as the rest of the set-up so its race dampers for me.
