whats the codes for the diffrent trans for ae86
is the gts trans for 4age t-50?
can a 4ac trans mate with a 4age?
i took my car over 6,000rpm and my trans wined like crazy. i know my motor can handle 7,000 so knowing that the 4ac redlines at 6 because i have a sr5 with no gts cluster. im guessing that i have the 4ac trans if thats possible.

so let me know whats up, and if you have a gts trans thats GOOD all gears and no grinds (in chicago area) let me know your price.

transmissions are the same, bell housings are different.

If you need a 4ag bell housing, i know of one for sale for $150 shipped

4AC & 4AG share the same gearbox (except the speed-o gears in the transfer case are different). Bell housings are interchangeable.

If you do run a T-50 from an SR5, you'll need to run the SR5 speedo driven gear. And if you're also running the 4.3 GTS rear end with the SR5 gear box: when your speedometer says 80-82mph you're actually going 65mph. Just somethings to consider.

yes i think i have the gts rear end because i have disk brakes in the rear. so does that mean i have lsd? and the spedo runs off a gear not a cable?

ok so now im just wondering why my car made noise as soon as i passed over 6 grand?
