4AC help

Post by JDMwhiteboy »

OK so last night as I was driving home I started to hear a ticking sound from the motor as I pressed on the gas to maintain speed. I played around with the throttle on my way home to try and see what it could be. However it just got louder and I limped the car to my driveway. At first I thought It was a rod knock but when you build the rpms and let it drop it goes down smooth. The sound only happens when you give it gas. This morning I did a compression test and got #1 100psi #2 100pis #3 30psi #4 30psi, then I tried the old ATF trick and got #1 120psi #2 120psi #3 40psi #4 40psi. What I found weird was that I was getting a puff of smoke or something out of #3 & 4 only when i turned the crank with no plugs in. I pull the valve cover and see my fuel pump has shaved a grove into the came and I found a bearing that I have no idea where it goes, or how it got there.
