Myself and a small handful of friends are going. Looks like a pretty sweet cruise down to the beach. Check the map for a rough outline, but please note this may or may not be the exact course.

There were lots of go pro cameras around so I was expecting some better footage. Here's the shot PDN took of everyone entering the freeway after leaving Buckey's. You can see my white sc300 @ 3:53. That was a hell of a ride

Yea, it was a blast. I was kind of worried about bringing an sc300, but the car held up just fine since it has a nice power band that stretches to 140+. Off the line all this muscle would have killed me though lol. Makes me wish I had my trans am running. Poor ls1 has a thrown rod though :(

u can beat on a 1uz more than an ls motor. bouncing rev limiter is no problem with the 1uz.the stock ls1 delphi has a fuel cut rev limiter and will do all sorts of cool stuff to your pistons and spark plugs under boost.this will lead to tossed rod bearings due to the stress of high revs and det, this will still happen n\a just not as fast. some years like chris had a not so good oil pumps. the revised models like the one in my work truck are solid.cdixon just had bad luck with the previous owner only doing like 1 oil change in 80,000 miles.

I pulled the drain plug and not a single drop of oil came out. Oil pump went out shortly after that. I upgraded, but it was too little too late. Technically it still starts and runs, it just knocks so it's been parked for a year or so. I'm thinking of stroking it out and bringing it to a 6.1 or 6.3 liter. If I have to rebuild the bottom end, might as well stroke it right?
