When using the 16v alternator mount and bracket, do you have to grind some of the alternator mount? Looks like on mines it's hitting the hydraulic tensioner?

im assuming this is going on a 20v? if i remember correctly, you do have to clearance it a bit

any chance of a picture, I have heard about this problem on a blacktop and would like to see it myself

yes, you do grind away some from the 16v alt bracket. sorry i didn't respond sooner ya'll.
