SAFC II on a GZE thoughts?!

Post by 86boy »

I've been considering buying an SAFC II just for craps and giggles. Also to play around with a little bit of tuning before diving into the big boy stand alone. Honestly stand alone is quite intimidating to me as i've never messed around with one... Anyone mess with one of these before? I'd mainly use it to pull a little fuel out of the top end where it goes super rich. I've read about other GZE engines doing the same thing after you remove the VSV's to pick up a couple pounds of boost. Which in my case they were broken when I got them.... so I just did the vacuum line trick when putting the engine in the car. Or should i just nut up and buy the Haltec Sprint 500 or 1000? What are you thoughts/opinions on using an SAFC II and my loss of nutage to do full out stand alone.

Sorry, I have no experience with the SAFC-II and there isn't much in depth information on its successful use with the 4AG motors Chris.

Your GZE setup is MAP correct?

It may help you tune out some fuel up where you're getting too much.

Depending on your ecu, the following are diagrams of where to connect your SAFC-II to:

I randomly collect manuals from many manufacturers over the years. The good ones make their manuals available on their official websites. Apexi may have an updated manual but they would usually only do that if they release a new version of the product.
