Gas lines where??

Post by ChadDavis »

Hey guys sooo one step closer to finishing my first 4age swap, im stumped with the fuel line stuff, i already have the fuel pump and new filter i just have never put my hands on fuel line routing. but i finished the electric fuel pump and filter towards the end of shop time, i have one more weekend at the shop, ive looked alot for some fuel line diagrams and info... nothing, Anyone have a say? i know this is probably simple... i just tend to make things harder than it needs to be haha

You can run your own hard lines or soft lines. If you're running an external pump, then soft lines (3/8 i.d.) should be just fine. Just route them on the passenger side of the trans tunnel and/or pass side of the underside to the bay. Make sure it's fuel line hose not coolant, vacuum or anything that's not designed for higher pressure.

No to hardware stores my friend.

Auto parts stores for the fuel lines or ebay/online for hard fuel lines.

You can actually get the hard lines at a dealership, when I bought mine a few years ago, I paid abt 100 usd iirc.
Personally, Idecided the hard lines were better because they're more robust... ut I've used logner rubber runs on my fc swap, so it works, but they're a pita to replace when rotten. Which is another plus for hardlines
