that is awesome, but the original will be hard-if not impossible-to beat.

The great thing about Top Gear is they review cars from all over the world. I'm wondering how broad the US versions car sample will be.

lol dang i don't wanna sound like a "hater" or opinionated but why does n.america always have to capitalize on everything

i think there should only be one top gear it's good enough why an americanized version -__-

ever notice how that show "Iron Chef" was a japanese show and then a year or so later i turned on the tv and there was "Iron Chef America" and it's never the same lol ruining one show at a time haha

I don't think it's trying to replace the english top gear. And even though the american won't be nearly as good, watching 2 new episodes of top gear a week is something to look forward to.

there have been other top gears as well...i know russia had their own version, and australia had their version as well.

its hard to match the chemistry that clarkson, hamster and may have.

Therr is even the ep of top gear where they challange the german top gear host. I think this will be good, but it will not be the real top gear. The bbc is still not sure if to air the us top gear in the uk.

saw the trailer earlier today... and dont know what to think.
im sure itll be worth a watch, but wont be anywhere near the level that the real top gear is at...artistic direction, cars reviewed, hosts personalities.... it wont live up to an avid top gear fan's expectations.

well, it won't if you're expecting Hammond & Clarkson. if TG America is all one ever saw then it could be the same for them that the bbc version wouldn't be the same, etc...

let's give it a chance. i have a great deal of respect for Foust to begin with.

they already had a top gear america that aired on discovery channel for two seasons about 4-5 years ago. it might have been more like 2005 ish.
