i was just joking, its kinda tough i have favorite motors for different things. my favorite motor would be a 4agze if i were to drift, but i would also like to build a sick n/a 16 4age for grip driving or putting it on the back of a sand rail dune buggy.

The 22R-E is prob my favorite engine. It has alot of torque, good displacement, found in alot of Toyota's (the 22R), reliable, ect. Its the heart of a Hilux, one of the great early engines that put Toyota on the map, I see 3TC... yet no 22R....

actually, the preferred "22R" setup is a 20R head using the 22R Aluminum rocker arms on top of the 22R bottom end: better flowing head and block with more torque.

re-vise your poll maybe?

Yes, the early 22R blocks with the 20R heads are popular, But as I stated, my favorite engine is the 22R-E. The 18R/20R/22R have more history than the 22R-E but I feel the EFI made such an improvement I vote for it.

I've had cooling problems with almost all of my 22R-E's (4). For some reason the Hilux I drove had a 22R and had absolutly no cooling problems... and it wasn't in cherry condition either.
