So will this be Friday April 23rd to Sunday April 25th?

Because Saturday April 24th is the Meanstreets drift event in Austin, over at the Travis Expo Center.

Then Sunday, April 25th, we're going to be hosting a drift event at Harris Hill Road. I'm going to make a post about that soon.

Are we going to have our Statewide Meet this weekend? If it is, we have the Saturday event that we could go to if everyone wanted. And if not, we could just chill at someone's home. I met up with Josh and Art tonight and they were saying that we can get together at Chris's house Saturday night for a get together also.

I can try and coordinate places for people to stay and things to do here in Austin for you guys that are going to be coming in. I know:
- Salt Lick BBQ
- Round Rock Donuts

I can find a route for a nice cruise that ends up at Salt Lick, if you guys want. I did a cruise like this with the UT Car Club about a year or so ago and had a blast.

So I'm thinking:
Friday April 23rd to Sunday April 25th:
Friday (4/23) - small get together at someone's house (maybe Chris's - SushiDrifter)
Saturday (4/24) - cruise up to round rock for donuts in the morning; cruise down to driftwood, take some twisties and scenic views to end up at Salt Lick; go to the meanstreets drift event if we want to; get together at someone's house at night
Sunday (4/25) - drift event at Harris Hill Road - $50 for drifters and spectators are $10 (BUT WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO MAKE IT FREE)

If not, we can stick with April 16-18th...

Yea this date is sneaking up on us, we need to make a choice so we give people plenty of time to ask of work, school, etc.

Well, the logic behind the weekend of the 16th was that we were going to use the 23rd as a backup just in case the 16th rained out (you know how TX weather can be).

As far as the events are concerned. Seeing as how the NST 5th anniversary Houston event was supposed to be a get together, it really didnt work out as expected (granted, it was cold as F*CK). We were able to meet up with SOME people, but there wasnt much dialogue going on. When Aaron had mentioned the Austin get-together, we really wanted it to be something about just the AE86 community in TX, because as we all know, its pretty small. We wanted a chance to get out there to actually MEET and GREET and TALK to other owners.

These were just some of my thoughts, and im open to either weekend, but like some others have mentioned, both of the weekends are coming up soon, and we need to make a decision. We also agreed to have at a MINIMUM, 15 running corollas show up.

Thiason, thank you for volunteering your services, and if the community wants to meet up on the weekend of the 23rd, then I'm all for it! Whichever weekend will get the most corollas out, is the best weekend for me!

I think we should have a poll on witch weekend we will hold this event. The three weekends are:
april
9-11
16-18
or
23-25
