??? maybe o'reilly. Sealed Power I believe (aka Federal Mogul). I think they call them Valve Seats (don't ask me, i know what we usually mean when we say Valve Seat). Sealed Power also makes buckets as well.

thanks guys!

its for a "fe" motor and i think the buckets are a different diameter than the "ge"

i saw the federal mogul buckets on the autozone website but i didnt see the shims. but now that you say something about the seat. i remember seeing them on the autozone website and i was like "what?!" i didnt know they sold valve seats at autozone.

well i got the lash in spec but the noise is still there...

it really doesnt sound like its in the bottom end. it sounds like its with cam speed not crank speed. i' know what a rod bearing sounds like but i dont know what ecsessive wristpin clearance sounds like.

i lost my job friday and i'm a little depressed i cant figure this out. i need a car to go looking for a job. :x

well the problem was i had an exhaust bucket on the intake and vise versa.

the ticking is still there. i wonder if i may have mushroomed a valve tip or weakend a spring?

intake spec .006-.010 "

exhaust spec .010-.014 "

can i get someone to stop by for a second opinion. i know its not a rod knock.

i just dont know if its a wristpin knock or valvetrain.

should cause no damage at all especially if it was only run for a little while. All it will do is make the engine perform worse

thanks will i appreciate it!

i think i weakend a valve spring somehow. jonas concured it was also valvetrain noise. it turns out i have only .003 clearance on my intake buckets(witch are stock) also witch could be making the noise i guess.

spec on the tight side is .006 on the intake.

so in the next couple days ill snag a good one from the junkyard. and hope it fixes it.
