Donor engine: 3TC w/ 5speed from 1980-83 TE72 sedan
Original engine: 2tc w/ 3speed automatic
Car: 1978 Toyota Corolla DLX wagon
- Engine mounts differ between the TE38 wagon 2TC and TE72 coupe/sedan 3TC: TE38 engine mounts are considerably shorter than that of the TE72
Solution:
• Transfer engine mounts from TE38 motor to new TE72 3TC motor. Appears cross members are different in design. Using the mounts that come with the TE72 motor will not allow for the donor to mate up appropriately with engine mount points: the longer mounts create a wider “stanceâ€
