TW: Looking for a CA18DET

Post by c4ptiv3 »

Kinda looking around to see if anyone has one of these holed up in a garage somewhere or something. I'm looking for the engine, tranny, ecu and harness. As long as it's rebuildable would be fine since I plan on doing a full rebuild anyway.

The reason I say Testing Waters is I'm looking to get the cosmetics and paint done on the Rolla before I start building the engine but if I come across one for a good price I/d jump on it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

Good engine. I had one for about two years with zero problems out of it.

Problem with importers are the ridiculous prices they charge for what you get.

Yea I think most people replace them with something more powerful so I figure someone has to have one, I'll keep looking but I'm not in a huge rush. Figured the sooner I started looking the more time I have to find something.

I might end up going 3SGE and doing a turbo if I can't find a CA but the pricepoint to power ratio is strong with this one.
