New Rx7

Post by hvguy »

Just got done with the 9 hour drive... 4.5 there and back =/

Traded the black corolla plus some $ for a running and driving 88 Rx7 GXL.

After getting it home.. I ran to walmart to get some 2 cycle oil so I could get some fuel. After that, I went driving about to see what was wrong with it.

Here is what I found:

1. destroyed, but good sounding exhaust system "I hacked it off at the collector"
2. worn out shocks and bushing in the rear.
3. weird wiring issue with the dash lights
4. the clutch is soooooo weak
5. wiring issue with the d/s window controls

Thats about it... other than the dirty interior, its a pretty good car. The insane backfires need to be re-routed to the rear to be safe.

Ill get vids tomorrow in the daytime, neighbors came out and complained I was being loud..... more reason to move back.

huh!? what!? man you guys jump off topic fast!

anyway, hvguy, i'm starting to get the impression that you're quite impetuous.

if i may suggest slowing down and actually weighing the pros and cons before purchasing things.

"a fool and his money are soon quickly parted" as the old saying goes.

that RX-7 would've been a better deal had it not been for wiring issues. faulty wiring leads to more heart & head aches.

just food for thought.

The FC and the FD are said to have a perfect weight balance. The ae86 isn't too far off. The reason for the fc/fd is they are able to put the rotary closer to the center of the car due to its small size. And their doors make me laugh, they are soo awkward
