Re: 8/6 day-2k15
I haven't been in years to a meet. Even then, I only had an ae92. ae86 isn't far at all from being driveable (brakes and tires mainly), but no way would it be street legal in time. Been pushing all year, but money only stretches so far. If it were driving, I might risk running it around Houston, but...

Re: gts rear end question
Sites like this are usually just linked to Toyota dealerships. So, you could go to a dealer and ask them to order it. Price should be the same all around. They have access to every part for our cars still.

Re: gts rear end question
I think these are them. $15 each. Double check that before buying though, I didn't look too hard. http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/p/__/BRACKET--PARKING-BRAKE-CABLE-SUPPORT--RH/3943393/4645112030.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/p/__/BRACKET-...

I rebuilt my own, but when I was up there, he asked if they were building the motor, so I assumed they do.

Ah, I thought we were talking about rod bearings. Cam bearings are easy to get to later if you needed. I ended up reusing mine too, but would never reuse rod bearings.

Re: gts rear end question
Ok, I think I see why. Yea, You're gonna need those brackets on the caliper. This picture makes it pretty clear that this is just gonna flop around without them. http://s55.photobucket.com/user/plate2169/media/Parking-E%20brake/Step2.jpg.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; heres the ...

Re: gts rear end question
Well I don't have gts rear end, so I may be completely dumb about the issue. I don't understand why it wouldn't work if the cable is held tight. Once the outer area is tight, the rest can be as long as it wants, and it should pull the cable properly. I have one theory. Check out this thread, towards...

Re: Recommend a rebuild shop Houston
I had all my machine work done here. Took about a week to get it back, but they seem like a good shop. Friends of mine have used them, and they seem to have a good reputation.

Re: hey guys... just another ae86 junkie here..
I've been itching for another meet, but my car isn't street legal or driveable right now. So, I think everyones just waiting on me to get running before we have another meet right?
