Re: 20 valve ITB's

yes I made it myself and it has no deflection at all even with suddenly forcing all my body weight on it so I did overdo it a bit. It's made from 4130 (Cro-Mo) as I think aluminium is a poor material to make braces from and is only used because of how cost effective it is. Here is test pannel from t...

Re: Manganese Bronze Valve Guides: Are there any benefits?

insurance. you really want to replace a 6,000 dollar motor for a 1 dollar piece of bronze. thats 20 years old mind you. or how about if you change it it's one more thing that might not go right due to substandard parts, poor install, etc... All of our engines have bucket and shim valvetrains, this ...

Re: 7AGE

I thought it would be interference because the FE head has a 22 degree valve angle with recessed valves vs the 50 of the 16V 4age. This will very likely mean the edges of the valves would hit. Also what I suspected was right, I had a look and the ring lands of 7afe pistons are thin, I wouldn't be gi...

Re: 7AGE

I forgot to mention that using 7A pistons might make the engine an inteference design, also they wouldn't be very strong compared to ZE pistons

Re: 7AGE w/ BT 20v head

Are aftermarket rods/pistons easily available?- yes

Is a different/aftermarket crank necessary?- no

Regular machine shop able to do the work and assemble the bottom end?- no machine shop is needed unless your reboring

How high would i be able to rev? about 8000 or so with aftermarket rods

Re: NST W58 into 4AG AE86 ADAPTER FEELER thread

are you going to sell spigot bearing spacers to suit? or just use a dual row bearing?

I might be interested in a bulk purchase of these to be a reseller here in Australia, either that or a swap for some 20V cooling parts.

Re: 7AGE

you have to be very carefull using the 7afe gasket with 4age pistons as the gasket is made for pistons with a lower compression height. 10:1 is a good compromise between power and response. Compared to an engine with 8.5:1 it will be much more responsive. moorofit: while your right about raising the...
