Re: Info on hachi/coupe

Umm, you mean HATCH vs COUPE.

Hachi means 8. Not hatch. A "Hachi Roku" is an 86.

Re: My 86 Hachi coupe

Yeah I was trying to figure out how to wire it in exactly. Looks like the General Imports diagram is the one I use, no magnetic pick up is necessary.

One of the wires had almost 10k ohms of resistance in it.

Re: My 86 Hachi coupe

Oh and we switched to 7 series plugs, the 5s were way too hot. I dont remember the gap. I know when we switched it picked up 20hp across the band.

Re: My 86 Hachi coupe

The TRD wires I have have 9000ohms of resistance, waaaaay too much. I have an MSD setup just sitting ready to be installed so Im gonna hook it up and get it going too. Im just not 100% on what exactly needs to be changed for it. Stock distributor work with a 6AL or not? I have that and a blaster 2 +...

Re: Imported Performance & CCM7 Presents: Cupcakin' for Kids!

Thats exactly what we did last time. Ended up parking in the back completely away from the entire event even though spaces were "supposed" to be reserved for us. Im just saying dont get your hopes up. Alot of cars and very little organization.

Re: My 86 Hachi coupe

Ok, so its at 152whp@8psi right now. Only reason its so low is because my stock ignition system cant handle anymore. My TRD wires are apparently not holding up to the torture. I have an MSD igntion and coil Im going to put in it and it should get everything more towards the 200whp range. Even at the...

Re: Imported Performance & CCM7 Presents: Cupcakin' for Kids!

hmm...we tried doing the whole "parking together" thing at CCM5 in Dallas up here...i'll just say this, if you plan to do this, plan to get there an hour, an hour and a half early. if youre late, youre SOL. Yeah it was lame last time too. Im all for the charity thing, but damn, you'd never know who...
