Re: to do list

If you noticed, the tray covers the whole rotating assembly. The oil pan by itself doesn't do much to prevent oil from dragging the crank. Its just a cheap mod to free up some HP. On another note, I decided to hold off on the bike carbs for the moment until I break the engine and clutch in. I cleane...

Getting close. R1-fuel pump came in yesterday. Intake manifold next on the list and a few odds and ends.

Re: Coming down from GA

Welcome. Not much activity here lately but there's loads of info. I'm still contributing here and there for documenting purposes and for those who may want to go the 3tc route. What drove your interest in the 86?

Re: to do list

This one is going to be a steel structure like you mentioned but only a two bay. My ARP studs and oil pan windage tray finally came in today. So now I have all I need to assemble the 3TC. 8)

Any updates? Good lookin' car man. I grew up around these old corollas. When I moved to Texas in 1991, I couldn't wait until the trend caught on. Well, better late than never. Hope you haven't thrown the towel in.

Re: to do list

I was thinking like a Holley red but I'll look into the R1 pump. Once I open the carbs up I'll look for the idle jets and let you know. I'm guessing the higher staged kits have more included like the idle jets and what not. I still need to fab up manifold before running these carbs. I may have to us...

Re: to do list

I'd like to clarify on the cam bearing diameters for documentation purposes. The OD increase in size from the center bearing toward the back and front of engine. The ID however increase in size consecutively from rear to front like they normally should. I'm not quite sure why the block was design th...

Re: to do list

@dr.occa the kit came with a 130, 134,& 138 main jets to choose from for this particular set of carbs. I was planning on using the 138 mains. It also came with springs, and adjustable needles. If this doesn't work, I'll jump to a different stage kit.
